World Wildlife Day, 3rd March 2019 is a day promoted by the United Nations to celebrate and raise awareness for wildlife around the world. Australias' native species are under threat of regulations to allow them to be kept as pets. This could enable commercial exploitation and threaten the well-being of many native animals due to incompetent care. My sculptures celebrate the unique qualities of birds, reptiles and mammals while emphasising the importance of their relationship with their natural environment.
